week 10 - Photographer Bas Meeuws

      

      This still life photograph means  a lot for relatives of victims of Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 which crashed in Ukraine. None of the 298 people on board survived. The victims family and relatives only knew the crash location from news. Camera man Joris Hentenaar and reporter Rudy Bouma were at the crash site. They decided to collect flowers from the crash site for the families of those victims. Gradually this grew into something bigger and a permanent memento for the relatives of all victims. Joris  and Bouma took pictures of the sunflowers, the white tape, the melted aluminium, the debris from the location. Together they created the Stiching Zonnebloemenboeket, the sunflower Bouquet Foundation and asked artist photographer Bas Meeuws to create a piece of art using sunflowers.
        This stunning model digital art stands on a sheet of scratched aluminium, a withered sunflower and flowers petal, seeds, most importantly Ukrainian soil and chunks of stone from the crash site are placed in the circle around the vase.

       Bas Meeuws is specialises in flower still life photography that he composes from photos of individual flowers. Bas Meeuws was born in 1974 in Heerlen, Limburg, in the very south of the Netherlands and grew up in the village of Spaubeek. Bas Meeuws is trained physiotherapist. For digital photography he is self taught all rounder and proficient in documentation, portraiture, nature and children. It is only in flower pieces, however, that his interest coalesce beauty, nature, the technical challenge, most importantly meaning and turning it into art.

 

 

        As an his expression of his gratitude for his background in healthcare, he created this specially made a still life to donate to auction for the benefit of the Emma Children's Hospital. It can be clearly seem from the rich, captivating piece how much Bas Meeuws strives for perfection.

         His imagery is the outcome of his interest in the unpredictability and surprise of the ingredients he choose to work with. He find ways to give life to those powerful creation of his.             What was in photographer mind when he shot this photo? What he trying to tell the world from this photo? For me is about  broken heart take time to heal and there is still hope or taking care one health need a lot of care.

            Nevertheless photographer George Rustchev creativity is without boundaries.Gearge Rustchev composition and highly surrealistic idea catches eyes easily.  George Rustchev mention that the most important thing in his work is the idea.              George Rustchev is Bulgarian. He love to take photograph started as kid when he received a old camera from his father. All his knowledge about photograph is learnt from the internet, different kinds of forums and from friends around him.

week 7 - photographer Timothy Hogan

        Timothy Hogan has had a successful career in photograph and advertising over the past sixteen years. Well known for his lighting mastery and unique still life photography.
        Studied photography in college and graduated from Syracuse University in 1998. After graduating he moved to New York and open his first studio in early 2000. Over the years he have several studios in New York and now have  studio and gallery space in Santo Monica called ESSVTL.LA. Timothy also an inventor, he love to create things since young and currently he is inventing furniture along with his photography.
        He has worked with Maybelline, Timmy Hilfier and Visa among his numerous other clients.
        In 2013 The FinProject idea started off simply and it evolved in something much talked project which developed into documentary.

week 6 - Photographer Linus Lohoff.

Linus Lohoff blend in his arty creative ideas in his photographs. Linus Lohoff shots on still life photograph catches  my eyes, plain background with subject arranged in outstanding ways is easily noticeable.

Linus is Art Director and Photographer based in Barcelona, Spain.

Born in Germary in 1985 and lived in Brazil in his early days. Move back to Germany in 1991 and in 2004 Linus worked as State certified design technican assistant with focus on communication media at Berufskolleg am Kotten Wuppental (Germany). After which in 2005 Linus did Intershipat Chimilewski Fotografie Remscheld (Germany) and later did freelancer in that Photo Studio. Between 2009 to 2010  Linus studied at BAU in Barcelona, Spain. Linus completed his degree in  Communication Design between 2006 to 2013. From 2013 Linus is Junior Art Director Digital at Saatchi & Saatchi. Recently started work as Art Director at Vasava which offer advertising, marketing, branding, product design and etc services.
